SLJ-ing into the summer

At the end of each semester dorm students undergo the grueling "white glove." Pretty much everything in their room must be dusted and clean. This year I was able to help check for violations for white glove. One of the floor leaders could not attend due to a work conflict. As punishment, the rest of the leadership SLJ-ed his room.

SLJ-ing:
At Maranatha SLJ stands for Student Life Journal. It is a manual (now available only on the school intranet) that list the rules, regulations, and some of the policies students must abide by while enrolled. As a joke, we decided to take old copies of the SLJ and "decorate" a clean white gloved room...it was great!

This Summer

I will be working with System Parking in downtown Chicago. System operates many of the parking garages in Chicago. I will be working in operations and with the marketing director. I am looking forward to this experience. Working with them will allow me to gain experience with a different company in a completely different industry compared to where I have worked in the past.
